Digital Storytelling for UNFPA’s 16 Days of Activism Campaign
I led the digital strategy for UNFPA's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, with a focus on harnessing the power of digital storytelling to inspire action and drive social change.
Key Contributions:
>Powerful Digital Storytelling:
Developed and implemented a storytelling-driven digital campaign to amplify the voices of survivors and advocates, spotlighting personal stories to raise awareness about gender-based violence. The content was tailored to resonate with diverse audiences, fostering empathy and motivating engagement.
>Social Media Activation:
Utilised platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to share impactful stories, leveraging visually engaging posts, videos, and infographics to reach and engage a wide audience. These efforts increased public awareness and prompted discussions around gender-based violence in Cambodia.
>Audience Engagement & Advocacy:
Built an interactive engagement strategy that encouraged users to participate in the movement, from sharing their own stories to engaging with content and using the campaign hashtags. This approach significantly boosted engagement and broadened the campaign’s reach.
>Measurable Impact:
The campaign achieved strong reach and participation, sparking public conversations and advocacy efforts around gender equality and violence prevention. This contributed to increased community support for UNFPA’s long-term efforts to combat gender-based violence.
Through powerful digital storytelling and strategic engagement, this campaign played a vital role in driving awareness and creating meaningful change around gender-based violence.
